Vocabulary revision
Teacher
reads phrases in Ukrainian, students try to remind them verbally:
Break a rule, obey an
order, answer a question, make a
mistake, tell the truth, pass an exam. Students play a game, matching word with make or do. Use DO for actions, obligations, and repetitive tasks.
Use MAKE for creating or producing something, and for
actions you choose to do. DO generally
refers to the action itself, and MAKE usually
refers to the result. For example, if you “make breakfast,” the result is an
omelet! If you “make a suggestion,” you have created a recommendation.
Game based
on reading, writing skills, critical thinking, including group work. For this
game pupils should use speed, order, choice. Teacher hands out some pieces of paper
for three groups and they make
the sentences as quick as possible in correct the order. Then they match their ready sentences with
the pictures on the board.
